We are a small, dedicated team with a varied and wealth of experience working with children. The founder, Mrs Kwai-Fong Purchase (Miss Jessy) is a fully qualified Montessori Teachers who believe in the benefits of the Montessori philosophy and promoting its unique teaching methods to support children’s learning.

Jessy

Qualifications: BA Hons: Psychology, Early Years Teacher Status and Diploma in Montessori Pedagogy
Born and brought up in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Jessy was an active child who liked adventure and spent most of her childhood climbing trees, wandering in the woods discovering new things and helping her family with daily chores like collecting firewood and looking after domestic animals. Jessy worked as a teacher’s assistant in an International Montessori Children House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where she received her in-house training and was greatly influenced by the Montessori Ethos. Year 2001 Jessy came to England to complete her Diploma at the Montessori Centre International in London, after completed her Early Childhood Diploma she joined a Montessori nursery school as Early year teacher and was subsequently promoted to the position of Deputy Head Teacher. In year 2011, Jessy decided to start Village Montessori Nursery School with helps from her colleague; with her busy schdules Jessy has also completed her Degree course and gained her BSc (Hons) Psychology with Open University in 2013.  She has also completed her Early Year Teacher Status (EYTS) postgraduate course with Chichester University in 2015. Jessy speaks and writes English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Bahasa Malaysia, Jessy loves working with children and believes that education must be very broad and very complete.

Alice Blears known as Miss Alice
Deputy Head Teacher, Special Educational Needs Coordinator and First Aider

Qualifications: BA Hons: Ceramics, Early Years Teacher Status and Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Practice Early Years.
Born and brought up in North Wales, Alice Moved to West Sussex in 2006. Alice has been working with children in varied roles for over 15 years, from Voluntary teaching in South Africa, as a woodwork technician in a high school, one to one childcare for early years and as Creative Project lead in a children’s centre. Over the past year Alice has been working in nurseries full time while studying for her EYTS qualification which she completed in July 2015. Alice has always enjoyed outdoor activities like walking and camping and enjoys many forms of creativity from printmaking to crochet, gardening to cake decorating. Living in Chichester with her family, including her 13 year old son (who encouraged her to start Judo!) she also enjoys cycling and singing with a local choir.  She is currently continuing her studies towards an MA in Early Years.

Valerie Hope known as Miss Val
Nursery Teacher

Qualifications: Early Years Childhood Level 3
Born and brought up in France, she moved to UK in 2000 worked in a Grammar School in Manchester for a period of time before she travelled to the South of UK, Chichester and worked in a Montessori Nursery for another 8 years. Valerie is creative in nature, she loves art & craft and has great passion in baking as well as sewing. In the past number of years she had made a lots of adorable ginger bread man house with lovely decorations. During her free time, she loves sewing and making dresses for play dolls. She is currently continuing her studies towards Level 4 Leadership and Management course.
